A HUGE bird JUST flew straight through the window!!!!! Glass EVERYWHERE! And I mean everywhere! We were sitting at the table, right about to go in the kitchen to clean up dishes and what-not, when we heard a VERY loud CRASH. Mom went in first, thinking a ceiling fixture had fallen again, nope, all ceiling fixtures were intact. Dad went in and started looking at the shelves. Nope, all pots and pans were intact.
Then Mom shrieked 'The window!' and sure enough. A huge, ginormous smash in the window (pictures tomorrow or later tonight) and glass, again, EVERYWHERE! Dad peeked his head around the corner of the island (the big counter thing in the middle of our kitchen) and he said there was a BIG bird moving around amongst the glass.
We beleive it's a hawk, I'm barefoot so I can't go in and see for myself. I personally don't want to.
Meanwhile, Grace had run upstairs. I went up to check on her and she was trembling, almost crying in the middle of her bed.
I felt bad for her, so we made a fort.
Then I came backdownstairs and Henry and I went outside to see the hawk through the door and to see what damage had been done outside. Well, glass was everywhere outside and I took a picture.
Henry tried to take a picture of the hawk (it's dead now by the way) but it didn't turn out.
Then I came inside and sat down at the computer (those of you who received an e-mail of distress from me, I sent that to you somewhere in between the crash and going upstairs to see how Gracie was doing).
So, that's what just happened here. Unless you're my grandparents, you heard it here first (Dad just called his Mom and Dad)
Well, See Ya again, who knows what next post will bring.

Hi Madeline,
You are a very kind hearted big sis to help Gracie settle down.
