Okay, now before I start ranting or whatever you want to call it, I have a short story for you. When I was younger, maybe about four or five, I was positive that if I sent letters to bad guys telling them about Jesus they'd turn into Christians and then world would be perfect.
Obviously I didn't follow up with that plan, and even if I did, you know as well as I, that it wouldn't have worked.
Why is it though that it wouldn't of worked? Is it because some people block Christ out or is it because I wouldn't of been able to send out all those letters?
Kidding aside, a lot of people, upon hearing about Jesus would turn away, or block Him out.
My four year old self didn't comprehend that some people didn't understand what Jesus did for me. For Everyone. I thought you could just tell them about Jesus and boom they're a Christian and they'll go to heaven when they die. But it'snot like that. It's not like that at all. You can tell someone about Jesus but there's no promising that they're going to believe. You can't know if they're allowing the Holy Spirit to open their hearts and welcome Christ into their lives.
Since I was four, I've realized or been taught that to help someone become a Christian you can't just send them letters from far off countries, you have to help them open up and let Christ into their lives. The Holy Spirit has to work in their hearts before they can become a Christian.
Something else I've learned is that you can't FORCE someone into Christianity, just like you can't really force someone into liking anything. You can make your parents listen to your music over and over but that doesn't mean they're going to like it does it? People have preset minds into what is good and what is bad. People who have been taught from childhood that Christianity is bad aren't very likely to let Christ into their hearts, because they think that it's not what they should do.
Personally, I believe that is why most people who don't accept Christ, don't accept Christ. It's because they're rather scared of the consequences or they believe that listening to God's Word and like I said before, letting Him into their hearts, is a bad thing, something they shouldn't do.
Another huge reason that people don't accept Christ is because they don't know about Him. Can you, if you're Christian, think about what it would be like to never have known Christ or known about his love at all? That's what many many people out there are facing. They don't know that Christ died and rose again for them, they don't know that their sins are payed for, and they don't know what they're missing.

Great post, Maddi! I love seeing how you've matured (and are continuing to mature) spiritually. I'm very proud of you.
Mom
Wonderful post, Maddi. That's so true, you can't shove Christianity in their face, you just live it for them to see.
Really good, Maddi. I loved this. Bottom line: non-Christians don't accept Christ because they can't accept Christ. That's part and parcel with being dead in our sins.
Praise God for love. And mercy. And regeneration.
